Refund and guarantee policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Change-of-mind refunds are not offered; your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
If something is wrong
Our products come with the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, where they apply. If a product has a major problem, for example it does not work as described, is not delivered, or does not do what we said it would do, you are entitled to a remedy. That may be a repair, a replacement or a refund, as the law provides.
To ask for one, send a Nostr direct message to this shop's public key with your order, what is wrong, and (if you can) how to reproduce it. We aim to reply within 7 days.
How a refund is paid
- Refunds are sent to a bitcoin address that you give us in a message quoting your order. A payment does not reliably show who sent it (it may come from an exchange or a wallet service), so we do not send refunds back to the paying address. We may ask for the transaction id to confirm the order is yours.
- The refund is the same amount of bitcoin that you paid.
- If you pay more than the quote, the order still completes; message us with your order and we will refund the extra to a bitcoin address you give us. If the extra is less than 1,000 sats (about A$1.20), sending it back can cost us a large share of it in network fees, or more than all of it when the network is busy, so we will either refund it in full or credit it to your next order, as you prefer. An amount too small for the bitcoin network to send as a payment (a few hundred sats) can only be credited.
- The 1,000-sat rule applies only to the extra on an order that completed. It never limits a refund you are owed under the Australian Consumer Law, for example for a product that is faulty or not as described: that refund is the full amount you paid, however small.
- If you pay late, pay too little, or pay too much, and the order cannot complete by itself, we review the payment and either deliver the order or refund the amount to an address you give us (see the Prices and payment section of the Terms).
- Network fees on the refund transaction are paid by us.
Not covered
A change of mind, or a mistake in what you chose to buy, is not a fault in the product. If you are unsure whether a kit suits you, read the product page first; it lists what is in the kit and what it does not do.
This policy does not exclude, restrict or modify any right under the Australian Consumer Law or another law that cannot be excluded.
